Emily Smith, LCSW-R, is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, a distinction that signifies excellence in advanced-generalist clinical social work. This national certification, awarded by the American Board of Examiners (ABE), is recognized by insurers, healthcare organizations, legal entities, and consumers as a hallmark of high-level competency in the field.
Christine is one of the co-founders and owners of Northpointe Integrative, Inc. She is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has been providing direct counseling services to children, adolescents, families, adults and couples since 2005. She earned a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose in 2007. Early in her career she developed expertise in working with individuals struggling with addictions and in the various stages of recovery. This work resulted in designation as a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and also supported her desire to identify herself as a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC).
Amanda Abel, LMHC-D, received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University at Albany. She continued her education at Sage Colleges and received her Masters in Community and Counseling Psychology with a certificate in Forensic Mental Health. She has experience working with children (in educational and therapeutic environments), service members and family members of service members, people experiencing anxiety and depression, and more. Her clinical interests include anxiety, military/law enforcement/first responder symptoms, post-traumatic stress, challenging adjustments, life transitions, and more.
Caitlin Derway, LMSW received her Master of Social Work degree from the University at Albany and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and service members in a variety of settings. She enjoys working with those who are experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, relationship challenges, ADHD, emotional and behavioral dysregulation, addiction, and stress management. Caitlin utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach, pulling from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Person Centered and Trauma Informed approaches.
Celia Holmes, LCSW, has been providing therapeutic services for over a decade. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from SUNY Albany in their Advanced Standing program and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has worked with children, families and adults in the Capital Region in a variety of settings including home based, school based and office based. She specializes in trauma treatment and is a certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. She has additional certifications in Trauma Informed Creative Arts and Sandplay Therapy, as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills. Celia recently received training in Perinatal Mental Health and has a passion working with perinatal moms and their partners.
Emilia Hahn-Zollo, LMSW, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. She began her career working in residential and community settings in Maine where she worked for two years before pursuing her Master’s in Social Work at the University at Albany.
Erin O’Connor-Slater, LCSW, received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and began her career working with adolescents and teenagers who were living in residential care, due to difficult circumstances within the home setting. After working with this population for 6 years, she received her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from the University of New Hampshire.
Katherine (Katie) Aikens, LCSW, received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Binghamton University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has worked with youth, adults, and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Katie specializes in trauma treatment, and enjoys working with clients who experience depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. Her specific approach is rooted in Internal Family Systems, parts work, and attachment theory. She has a Level 1 Certification in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and has extensive experience utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy techniques.
lleana Maturo, MHC-P, completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at SUNY Albany and Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at The College of Saint Rose. She has experience, and enjoys working, with children, teenagers, and adults with an array of presenting challenges and concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. She strives to create a safe space for personal exploration and growth. Ileana utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches that fit her clients needs and goals, in order to help them succeed. These approaches may include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused techniques.
Mackenzie Schweikert, LMHC-D, completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at SUNY Albany. She started her career working with college students and has since expanded to working with adults, teens, and children. She has worked with people experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, ADHD, trauma, and grief and loss. Her current clinical interests include working with people to address existential fears, stress and anxiety, OCD, sexual concerns, and processing traumatic experiences.
Rachael Rocas, LMSW, obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from The University at Albany. She brings a wealth of knowledge and skills gained by her diverse experiences in inpatient, educational and long-term care settings. With a profound belief in the power of connection and human resilience, Rachael embraces a client centered approach that highlights their inherent strengths. She works with individuals of all ages, offering support to those facing trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss, emotional/behavioral dysregulation, and major life transitions.
Stephanie Railey, LCSW, received her Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and English from SUNY Geneseo. Prior to graduating, she enjoyed interning as a counselor for children who experienced trauma, as well as volunteering support for families and patients who were receiving hospice care. At the start of her career, she found her love of social work through clinical interviewing as a psychiatric research assistant.
