Alyssa Kontoh, LMHC, CBC is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Bariatric Counselor who has spent the last 8 years focusing on helping individuals create sustainably healthy lifestyles and improve disordered eating patterns, while enhancing their preexisting strengths. Alyssa graduated from Sage Graduate School in 2015 with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Community Psychology and immediately began working with adolescents in residential care. Alyssa has experience in a variety of settings including residential, private practice, and healthcare, working with children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing approaches including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to meet clients where they are at, identify strengths, and set realistic goals. Alyssa emphasizes the importance of establishing a meaningful therapeutic rapport that is collaborative and strengths based.
